When that happens at the website where I play, it means there was at least one roll that I didnt get to see due to a delay in the satellites...so the computer took the liberty of moving FOR me.....the opponent cant put himself on the wall.   In truth, you put him on the wall.    Next roll he gave himself the roll he needed to get back off the wall.  

As for this strategy... I do it all the time.   Sometimes you need to send one or two back in the hopes of catching your opponent in the ultimate gammon....besides its fun to practice your &quot;back&quot; game.</description>
