Is Mahjong illegal to play in New Jersey and New York?

Just wondering..Cause I’m planning to bring it over public transportation (bus and train) from Jersey City, NJ to Flushing, NY
and I’m worried that cops might think it’s illegal to play and arrest me…Lol
if ur bringing it from jersey city which is in new jersey and supposively u live there…wouldnt u know the answer to tht question
