This is a video cut from “Trick of The Mind” series aired in the UK. The clip here is taken directly from Season 1 — Episode 1. This is one of my favorite segments done by Derren. It explains for the most part how he did achieve the feat, and the trick is Cialis buy quite clever. Don’t get too hung up on the ending though; it’s merely a trick. I’ve got all of Derren’s work on my computer, and if you’re interested in somehow obtaining the information, email me at tranceriver@gmail.com and we’ll talk …

LOL Very Nice
i want to do this to ppl
i actually explain this trick in full in my blog. but YouTube will not let me post links for fear of spam. message me if you want to know.
brilliant.
But you apearently have no idea how he actually does this, as your mind is set on the “wrong way of thinking” allready after 37 seconds… He says “A grandmaster can think up to 20 moves ahead”. This sets your mind to think that he will use the same technique. But he doesent. He uses subliminal messages, and makes the other players make moves that gives him an advantage. If you search around on the net for “Derren Brown”, you might learn a little on how he does it. Its amazing!
agree – i knew that when i was a kid. i would be very surprised if he played all 9 and win all 9. and i want to know how he predicted the number. i would have a feeling that it is a mathematical model of statistics.
In addition to what I just posted remember this – you aren’t there in real life. You are seeing a video. It’s like’s watching a magician or illusionist on TV or video, instead of real life. It’s invalid becasue you are being manipulated not only by the artist, but by by recording angles & editing which I think is sad. David Blaine, Copperfield, all sorts of people are surrounded by paid actors. Put them to the real life test, & they fail, it’s that simple.
Yes, and at 2:45, how would he deal with the fact that player #1 moves white first, and he is not shown responding with a move? Why not? Walking away after white makes first move would be absurd, be if he is to countermove correctly from an opponent other than himself, he would have to see the opponents move which he can not yet. I go along with the idea that in fact this entire video is a fun hoax.
This is the oldest trick in the book, all the players in my chess club knew about it 15 years ago. I agree with lasriflecommisar, they went along with it in full knowledge.
nice trick….but he said in the beggining thah he doesn’t play chess very welll….how did he succeded at table 9?
yeah! wonderfull
” I can’t remember” ***…
Beast
lol why didn’t I think of that!
does this one have to do with his memory?
this video has nothing to do with nlp
I don’t think you know who Derren Brown is. He’s a master at NLP, and if you know what that is, then you would relize this is very real.
i love this guy
No, you don’t seem to get it
as my other posts show, the chess players knew about the trick
they went along with it because it is good publicity for chess and they wanted to be on television
but it was portrayed like they had no idea what was up
that is “reality” television for you
yes he has a great memory. Graham Lee said the chess players were very impressed by that. but no one was fooled by the set up. like i said, it is an old stunt in the chess world
genius
it takes skill to remember all those moves, and derren brown has that skill
This is fucking great!
No, you obviously dont get it.
so to sum up, it is a television show and the real trick is being played on the viewer.
who knows what else gets edited out to make the show better entertainment
