No. Rating-wise and Norm-wise, I’m a long way from Grandmaster status.
lol
Great video and a great game. Restricting the queen into the a8 square by sacrificing the rook is NOT an easy thing to do.
Thanks for the compliment.
Yes, allowing the rook to be captured needed some calculation of course. =)
WoW congratulation Jerry ! so what’s your rating?
Thanks. 2200+ =)
amazing. absolutely amazing.
Thanks. =)
Nice work, Jerry =] Just a question, what Chess program do you recommend?
are u a master? whats the ranking points for master>
Yes. A National Master has obtained a “rating” of 2200+ points.
Thanks. Nothing specific to recommend. I think any fairly recent computer program with a large database of games can help.
Hello, beginner question here: can you castle your king back and forth throughout the game as long as there remain no attacking pieces positioned against the rook and king? Can you do it if you’ve moved your rook earlier but put him back in his starting position? (I hope I am wording this correctly)
Thanks!
In order for castling to be allowed, certain rules must be followed. They are: A) You cannot castle when currently in check. B) There can be no pieces in between the king and the corresponding rook. C) The squares between the king and the corresponding rook can not be guarded by the opposing side. D) The king, nor the corresponding rook can have moved at all.

You’re welcome. Glad to hear of it. =)
Awesome. Thanks for letting me know about such. =)
Jerry a question, what is your process for eliminating bad moves and finding good ones other than book moves that you already know are good.
Candidate move theroy
I ask myself lots of questions….
What did my opponent’s last move do to the position?
Am I being threatened directly or indirectly?
If I could make multiple moves in a row, what would they be?
What’s my plan?
Can I succeed in this plan?
What move can I make that doesn’t weaken my position but potentially threaten to weaken my opponents’?
Where is my opponent weak?(somewhere on king/queen/center?)
How can I make use of the weak area if so?
How can I make a move that will allow few responses?
