I watched a bunch of these videos but as a new player I encountered a lot of really unusual counters and I didn't really know how to defend against it. Can you make some videos for n00bs like me? One time I took the center and was really surprised so i overextended my center and he was able to tear right through me and my center collapsed with not enough support.

But AFTER going to e2 the knight can go to g3 which is a better place for him.

(No Grandmasters play it) - Bb4 is not the main line of the English and in fact does not happen very often in tournament. As far as I know e5 is the main line, and then white often has the choice between attacking the center via d4 or the queenside with b4 (not right now of course).
