I’m trying to make a board game of Monopoly for a small Island that I live on. However, it’s very unclear as to exactly what the owners of monopoly have copyrighted. I understand that the logo is trademarked, however as to the rest, I am uncertain. Does anyone happen to know what you would have to change to avoid the copyright restrictions?
I am wanting this to sell as part of a Youth Business scheme

I know they offer a magazine Chess Life, I can join any tournament for another fee, and I get a ranking. Do they broker chess games? Offer advice and help with learning the game?
It seems it is only worth joining if you are quite excellent at Chess and feel that you can win tournaments? Otherwise, it is a waste? I would hope to be able to play correspondence chess with many different people and attain a ranking. As opposed to always playing in a tournament.

I’ve noticed that most Japanese sets of mahjong tiles have little notches along the long sides between the white and colored sections. Why is this? Is this just a design characteristic, or is there some kind of functional reason?
